The new Racing Plus (R+) handbrake hits the market with the aim of offering all the particularities that a rally, autocross, drift driver... looks for in a handbrake.
R+ puts the final version on sale after the manufacture and testing of different prototypes. Buying this handbrake, any driver can have a handbrake in his competition car with the same operation and characteristics as that of most FIA category cars.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Lever of 500 mm long cylindrical tube with plastic plug on the top to be able to be cut to the desired size
- System of teeth and lever (see photo 3) to leave the handbrake locked in the necessary position in the event of a puncture on a rally stage, for example
- Spring in the locking lever so that it returns to the rest position and that in no case can the handbrake be locked in full competition
- Five holes drilled in the two ears welded on the lower part of the lever (see photo 4) to screw the uniball ball joint in one or another point depending on whether the lever is more horizontal or vertical
- Lightened metallic structure on the sides by means of two cuts and in the lower part with different holes
- Compatible with brake master cylinders of all brands (AP Racing, Wilwood, Compbrake, Tilton...)
MAIN ADVANTAGES:
- Thanks to the locking system, it is not necessary to carry a chock in the car for a wheel change in the middle of the section
- Regardless of the position of the lever, the brake master cylinder rod does not change its working angle and is never blocked by the cylinder walls before completing its entire stroke
- The use of a uniball ball joint (instead of a circlip fork) offers a firm feel without play
